Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SleemPlate online store and any purchase made from SleemPlate S.R.L., Strada Emil Monția 28, 310242 Arad, Romania, Trade Registry No. J2024038696004, VAT / CUI RO50844537, email: contact@sleemplate.com, phone: +40 737 573 174. These details are provided so that our identity and contact information remain easily, directly, and permanently accessible.

By accessing our store or placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.

We sell physical automotive accessories, spare parts, and related goods through our online store, subject to availability, shipping coverage, technical suitability, and order review.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to the website, the store, and all orders placed through it. Separate policies, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy, and Warranty and Defective Goods Policy, also apply where relevant.

2. Eligibility and permitted use

You may use this store only for lawful purposes. You must not use the store to commit fraud, interfere with the site’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or copy store content without permission, submit false information, or use the store in a way that harms us, other customers, or third parties.

We may suspend, restrict, or refuse access to the store, or refuse future orders, where we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, repeated bad-faith conduct, or misuse of the site.

3. Product information

We aim to describe products as accurately as reasonably possible. However, product images are illustrative, and minor differences in shade, finish, packaging, included hardware, or presentation may occur without affecting the essential characteristics of the goods.

SleemPlate products are intended for license plate mounting on vehicles. Products are designed mainly for European Union (EU) 520 x 110 mm license plates, unless a product page expressly states otherwise. MagSleem X is the universal-fit option within the current product family, subject to the specific live product description at the time of purchase.

All kits require screws for installation. Products must not be described or understood as no-drill products.

Customers remain responsible for checking before installation:

  • vehicle compatibility,

  • plate size and condition,

  • mounting-area suitability,

  • and compliance with local road, inspection, and plate-display rules.

We do not state that one generic product or one generic policy clause makes a vehicle road-legal in every jurisdiction. Local rules may differ by country, region, vehicle type, and use case.

Products are designed for normal driving conditions, including regular road use, winter temperatures, and car-wash use, but that does not amount to a blanket guarantee against loss, theft, detachment, damage, or local-law issues in every possible scenario.

We do not guarantee universal compatibility with parking sensors, cameras, radar systems, or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) unless we have expressly confirmed that compatibility in writing for your specific setup. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) means vehicle-assistance technologies such as automatic emergency braking, lane support, adaptive cruise control, or similar systems.

4. Orders

An order placed on the store is an offer by you to buy the selected goods. Order confirmation emails, payment authorizations, or payment captures do not by themselves mean that the order has been finally accepted for dispatch.

We may accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order before dispatch where there is a legitimate reason, including:

  • stock or fulfillment issues,

  • obvious pricing or description errors,

  • delivery restrictions,

  • suspected fraud or abuse,

  • failed verification,

  • repeated refused deliveries,

  • or misuse of promotions.

If we cancel an order after payment has been authorized or captured, we will refund the amount paid without undue delay.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices shown on the store are the prices applicable at the time of checkout, subject to correction of obvious errors. Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown during checkout before payment is completed. Consumers must be given clear pre-contract information on the total price and any additional charges before being bound by the contract.

Payment methods made available at checkout may change over time. We may also offer cash on delivery for some Romanian orders.

Orders may be subject to manual review for fraud prevention, payment verification, delivery risk, or other legitimate security reasons. Shopify recommends review of high-risk orders as part of fraud-risk management.

6. Shipping and delivery

Processing times and delivery estimates are set out in our Shipping and Delivery Policy. Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

For non-EU shipments, customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, and similar charges are the customer’s responsibility unless the checkout expressly states that we will prepay them.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when the customer, or a third party indicated by the customer other than the carrier, physically receives the goods, except where mandatory law provides otherwise or where the customer independently chose a carrier not offered by us.

7. Returns, withdrawal, refunds, and defective goods

Consumer return rights, including any applicable statutory withdrawal rights for distance contracts and legal remedies for non-conforming goods, are governed by our Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy and our Warranty and Defective Goods Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law. EU distance-selling rules require key pre-contract information and preserve withdrawal rights for eligible consumer contracts.

8. Installation, misuse, and limits of responsibility

Customers are responsible for proper installation and use of the products in accordance with the instructions provided.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for issues resulting from:

  • improper or incomplete installation,

  • drilling errors or installation damage,

  • misuse, abuse, impact, or collision,

  • use on unsuitable surfaces,

  • use with bent, damaged, or altered plates,

  • third-party modifications,

  • failure to follow instructions,

  • or failure to check local legal requirements, fitment limits, or vehicle-specific constraints.

This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies.

9. Intellectual property and trade mark notice

All store content, including text, graphics, branding, logos, product images, product descriptions, and site design, is owned by SleemPlate S.R.L. or used with permission, unless stated otherwise.

The stylized SleemPlate logo used by SleemPlate S.R.L. is protected by a registered European Union trade mark, registration No. 019205805. Where that registered mark is used in its registered form, it may be identified with the ® symbol. Nothing in these Terms grants any right to use our trade marks, trade names, logos, product names, domain names, or other brand assets without our prior written permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or exploit store content or brand assets without prior written permission, except where the law permits otherwise.

10. Third-party services and links

Our store may integrate or link to third-party platforms, tools, payment providers, shipping services, social channels, apps, or external websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or practices outside our control.

11. Privacy and cookies

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Where required by law, non-essential tracking technologies depend on your consent settings.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising out of the use of the store or the products.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer-rights remedies.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law.

If you are a consumer, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you under the law of your habitual residence to the extent those protections cannot lawfully be excluded by contract.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at contact@sleemplate.com so we can try to resolve it directly. Consumers in Romania may also have access to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), in Romanian Soluționarea Alternativă a Litigiilor (SAL), through ANPC routes where applicable.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the store at the time of your order applies to that order, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
